THIS REFERS TO THE BUILD YEAR AND IS THE TWO LETTERS PRECEDING THE LAST SIX NUMBERS OF THE VIN. LAST SIX NUMBERS IS THE SERIAL NUMBER.
'>' on this site is used as an arrow, i.e. '>MA' means 'upto MA', and 'MA>' means 'MA onwards'
'MA' (for example) being the model code build year, which are the twoletters preceding the last 6numbers of the Chassis Number or VIN
This type of identification started at 'AA' in 1984, 'BA' is 1985, 'CA' is 1986, 'DA' is 1987 and so on. It ended at 'YA' 2000, then the code changed to alphanumerical, commencing at '1A' being 2001, '2A' is 2002, and so on.
Old Land Rover part numbers, i.e. 608464, now has a prefix 'R'. In order to use the search above, type in the Prefix followed by the part number, no spaces.
